Chapter Organization
The business and the affairs of the Chapter are managed by the Executive Committee in accordance with the provisions of the Chapter Bylaws.
The Executive Committee consists of the officers of the Chapter, the immediate past president, plus one representative from each state/province served by the Chapter.
The Officers of the Chapter consist of a President, a First Vice President, a Second Vice President, and a Secretary-Treasurer. All Chapter Officers must be Executive Members of the parent organization prior to assuming office, except the permanent position of Secretary-Treasurer.
The President, First Vice President and Second Vice President, are elected by popular vote by the total membership at the annual meeting and serve until the next annual meeting and until successors have been elected and qualified. The Secretary-Treasurer is appointed by the Executive Committee from the membership, ratified by vote of the membership, and serves from year to year until replaced.
The President is the principal executive officer of the Chapter and, in general, supervises all of its affairs, offices, and appointments. The President presides at all meetings, and performs, assumes, and discharges other responsibilities as the membership may designate from time to time.
In the absence of the President from any meeting or conference or in the event of the President's inability or refusal to act in the performance of official duties, the First Vice President performs the duties of the President and, when so acting, has all the powers of and be subject to all restrictions upon the President. The First Vice President is also the annual conference chairman.
In the absence of the President and First Vice President from any meeting or conference or in the event of their official duties, the Second Vice President performs the duties of the President and, when so acting, has all the powers of and is subject to all restrictions upon the President. In the absence of the First Vice President, the Second Vice President is the annual conference chairman. The Second Vice President chairs special projects of the organization.
The Secretary Treasurer keeps the minutes of meetings, is the custodian of the records, keeps the membership roster, collects membership dues, has custody of and is responsible for all funds of the Chapter, and performs all duties incident to the office of Secretary-Treasurer and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to the Secretary-Treasurer by the President or by the Officers.
