Chapter History
The history of the Great Lakes Chapter of the A.A.A.E. began in the early 1960's and remains unbroken to present day. Our Chapter is rich in tradition providing a unique "family flavor" to its organized activities. This is something we go to great lengths to preserve.
The Historian of the Chapter has been collecting information for a number of years regarding officers, meeting dates, locations, programs, and much more. Soon the Chapter will be in a position to publish the results of several years of effort. That is not to say that additional information is not welcome!
In this day and age the printed word can change rapidly. The website will not only help the Chapter members with daily activities, it will also serve as the mechanism to help preserve and display its rich history. If you have information concerning the Great Lakes Chapter, especially the early days in Iowa, please send it to the Historian.
